The City of Livermore will be holding a public workshop on June 21, at 7:00 p.m., on a prospective ordinance to permit medical cannabis dispensaries. The workshop will be held at the Robert Livermore Community Center, Cresta Blanca Room, located at 4444 East Avenue. Currently, the City of Livermore prohibits medical cannabis dispensaries. The workshop is open to the public and will focus on receiving community input on whether a dispensary should be permitted in the city and how it might be regulated. This is an opportunity to learn about current laws regulating medical cannabis dispensaries, ask City staff questions, and provide input on a potential ordinance to permit medical cannabis dispensaries in Livermore. Results of the City’s February/March 2017 online medical cannabis survey will be reviewed at the workshop. The results may also be viewed on this City webpage: http://www.cityoflivermore.net/citygov/cdd/cannabis.htm
At this time, the City of Livermore has no plans to permit the commercial cultivation of medical cannabis or the commercial cultivation or sale of any recreational cannabis products.
An RSVP is strongly encouraged, but not required to attend the workshop. To RSVP or for more information, please contact the City of Livermore Planning Division at (925) 960-4450 by phone or firstname.lastname@example.org by email.
